Peregrine Falcon was painted in 1943 at Annapolis, Maryland, while Dr. Earl Henry was serving as a dentist at the U.S. Naval Academy. The artist knew the birds by their American name, “Duck Hawks”. Today these birds are better known by their English name, “Peregrine Falcons”.
