Ruby-throated Hummingbird I was painted in 1942 at Beaufort, South Carolina, while Dr. Earl Henry was serving as a U.S. Navy dentist at Parris Island Marine Base.
The background color is a creamy yellow though some computer screens make it look orange or pink.
