Barn Swallow was painted in December, 1943, at Annapolis, Maryland, while Dr. Earl Henry was serving as a dentist at the U.S. Naval Academy.

Image size is 6 1/4" x 7 3/4". Total paper including white border is 9 7/8" x 11 7/8". This is a perfect size for a mat to fit a standard 11 by 14 inch frame.
