Cardinal II was painted in November 1944 at Mare Island Naval Yard in Vallejo, California, as a gift to his wife’s relatives in Fresno, California.

Image size is 6 3/16" x 7 3/4". Total paper including white border is 9 1/2" x 11 5/8". This size is perfect for a mat in a standard 11 by 14 inch standard size frame.
