Dr. Henry painted Ruby-crowned Kinglet at Annapolis, Maryland in 1943 while serving as a Dental Officer at the Naval Academy. Mrs. Henry used to describe how her husband took an almost unbelievable colorful branch of maple leaves. She said he painted the leaves and suddently the birds hopped on the branch, as he painted very quickly.
This is a numbered edition of 1050 plus 50 ap, all signed by the artist's son for the Estate of Earl O. Henry.
